Wrong on Time Moving.

Where to start?  First, they say first impression are important.  In this case it gives you a false sense of the reality of the situation.  Two men show up in excellent shape and you think, "yeah, these guys can move this stuff fast and we can get this thing done."  The problem is as you discover later from them, they get paid by the hour and a poor wage ($10 to $11) and want the move to take as much time as possible.  It's their only job for the day.  Instead of two men moving things from my apartment to the truck, one guy moves the things down to the truck and the other guy loads it.  A terrible plan.  One guy is basically sitting around most of the time doing nothing and getting paid for it.  He may only get $11 but I pay $75.  I got a little upset as we passed hour number three and said something about them going so slow.  One of them got defensive (a chip as large as a house on his shoulder) and called the boss and was trying to threaten to walk off the job worth all my stuff in his truck.  He used emotional blackmail to make me his emotional slave for the rest of the three hours I had to be in his lazy presence and wow, when it got closer to five o'clock, they were able to unload my things in record time (30 minutes).  About 5 hours to load and well, you get the rest.  Then they weren't happy with the $50 tip I gave them and started playing the us poor folks worked hard routine and I gave it to them just so they would shut up.  The ironic part is that they already had a tip from me.  That morning I had gone to the bank and gotten four $100 bills out to pay the movers.  Well, the mover was supposed to cost $235 and ended up costing $450 plus $80 tip.  The second day after the move, granted I had not gone anywhere or seen anyone but the movers since the day I moved, 2 of those $100 bills was missing from my wallet.  Now, they were alone in my apartment when I walked my dogs and my wallet was sitting on the counter so it is simple math.  It wasn't me.  I would not be so quick to judge if they hadn't done this:  Part of my payment was to have them haul off an old mattress, a club chair and ottoman and a file cabinet.  I told them it could not be left at my new apartment.  Well, while I wasn't looking, the sneaked it in there.  The reason I didn't know, is that the apartment wasn't ready for occupancy yet and I was staying at a hotel.  So, when confronted by my property manager, I denied it and said they didn't do it.  I called Mr. Wright and he said he would ask his employees and get back to me.  It took two more phone calls and he finally said they told him they did not leave anything behind.  So, I took up for them with my property manager.  She came back with proof - pictures and yes, it was my stuff and I was highly embarrassed by this by Mr. Wright and his employees.  What did they think?  Their word was going to trump an apartment manager?  I was charged $50 for that dumping that I had already paid for.  Now, I am down $250.  I contacted Mr. Wright (or should I say Mr. Wrong) by phone and email and have not heard back from him.  All I can say is this.  Do not believe what you hear.  Do not leave the room or leave valuables and not account for them on the other end of the move.  Be very wary.  Mr. Wright tells horrible stories about other moving companies to get your business when his is the biggest horror story of all.  I wish I had read the review before I hired him.  Maybe this will help someone else not make the same mistake I did.        .

Moving isn't fun but they took care of me.

I found the movers proactive, helpful and careful. I also found them trustworthy, we is very important. I was able to allow them work unsupervised, for the most part and they even worked quicker.

They were also flexible in setting up my furniture in the new apartment, not complaining when I asked them to re-arrange stuff.

All in all, it was a great experience.
